Jürgen Klopp has offered a positive update on Jamal Musiala, emphasizing that the Bayern Munich star is training normally with the German national team and that there is no need to make his current situation into a bigger issue.
Musiala has returned to the Germany setup after a difficult period dealing with neurological absences and a carefully managed return to action. With Klopp beginning his tenure as Germany manager, Musiala is one of the key players around whom the team will be built, making
his condition an important talking point ahead of the upcoming international fixtures.
However, Klopp made it clear that the focus within the Germany camp is on treating Musiala like any other player rather than constantly discussing his physical condition.
“There’s no reason to talk to Jamal about it or to think about it. Everything is settled. What we need is normality, what the boy needs is normality. We have that here. He’s training completely normally,” said Klopp (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
That message should come as welcome news for both Musiala and Bayern Munich. Klopp appears determined to allow the 23-year-old to settle back into his normal routine.
For Germany, having Musiala training without restrictions is an encouraging development. Klopp will hope that normality allows one of the team’s most important attacking players to regain his rhythm and confidence while working within the new-look national team setup.
