2025 Review:
There’s really not much to say about Tristin English’s 2025 season, especially when it was only seven games and 24 plate appearances. Even though his stats aren’t good at all, I wouldn’t even call his season a failure.
After six long years grinding in the minors, he finally made it to the Major Leagues, he got his first hit, walk, and extrabase hit. Going 2 for 22 with a 8 strikeouts obviously isn’t great, but it’s way too small of a sample to evaluate fairly. He’s one of the twelve Diamondbacks to elect free agency, so I think it’d be a safe bet to assume that he will try to latch onto another team where he has a better shot at getting a starting job at the Major League level. Purely based on where he’s from (Georgia), if I had to bet, I’d expect him to sign with a team on the east coast.
