Another great start from Gavin. Didn’t look like he had it all together tonight, but you look up and see he’s posted 7 innings of 1-run ball. What a season, so far, from him. The offense, too, was surprising. Not every day you see the Cleveland Guardians score 7 runs in a game!
Kwan started off the 2nd inning outburst.
He looks to be rebounding from a pretty rough second-half slump
that brought his season wRC+ under 100.
Had another multi-hit game tonight… and a multi-steal game. His first in over a year, per Tim Stebbins.
Hedges homered, too!
Seemingly lost in everything, tonight, was George Valera’s first big-league RBI! 106 off the bat.
Per the broadcast, Valera is the first Guardians player to have both of his first two career hits come via pinch-hitting since the 1990s.
Tim Herrin was good, Cade Smith (?) was good.
The Guardians get back up to .500 and are 2.5 games behind Seattle for the final wildcard spot.
It’s Tanner Bibee vs. Shane Baz tomorrow. Get a series win.
