“Concrete” gets his first Octagon assignment.
MMAmania.com confirmed with multiple sources today (Mon., Sept. 15, 2025) that newly-signed Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight Steven Asplund will make his promotional debut against Sean Sharaf at UFC Vegas 112 on Dec. 13, 2025, inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This Heavyweight scrap should be madness for as long as it lasts.

Asplund (6-1) earned his contract just last week on Contender Series (week five), flattening Anthony Guarascio
in just 16 seconds as a betting underdog (watch highlights). The 27-year-old rides into his debut on a three-fight win streak, holding an 83 percent finish rate with five knockout wins.
For what it’s worth, the new UFC Heavyweight is the son of Kevin Asplund, who fought the likes of Brett Rodgers, Bobby Lashley, and Oli Thompson.

Sharaf (4-1), meanwhile, hasn’t been seen since Oct. 2024, when he stepped up on just three days’ notice to face Junior Tafa. Despite having a lot of success against the Aussie slugger, Sharaf ultimately fell by second-round stoppage. Still, the 32-year-old has proven to be a dangerous threat early, with all four of his career wins ending via first-round knockout.
UFC Vegas 112 will be headlined by Brandon Royval vs. Manel Kape in a pivotal Flyweight main event. The only other bout confirmed for the year-end card thus far is a Strawweight clash between Iasmin Lucindo and Gillian Robertson.
Expect more matchups to be added in the coming weeks.
