Prior to Bayern Munich’s 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup, Bild (via @iMiaSanMia) released the list of DFB brass, who attended the event and it is safe to say that organization broke out its big guns to make a statement for the first big event for the new coaching regime:
Germany new head coach Jürgen Klopp, DFB president Bernd Neuendorf, sporting director Rudi Völler as well as chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz will all attend tonight’s Super Cup between Dortmund
and Bayern.
With Bayern Munich and Dortmund facing off for the first trophy of the new season, the match attracted plenty of attention well beyond the Bundesliga. For Klopp, it will also provide an opportunity to watch some of the country’s top players up close as he begins his new role with Germany. There were plenty of familiar and intriguing players to watch during the match.
For Bayern Munich, Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlović, Nathaniel Brown, and Jonathan Tah all got a chance to attract his attention On the Dortmund side, Felix Nmecha, Waldemar Anton, and Maxi Beier all attempted to make a good impression.
