The finalists for the American League and National League winners of the Most Valuable Player Award, Cy Young Award, Rookie of the Year Award and Manager of the Year Award for 2025 have been announced.
You will not be surprised to learn that no Rangers were among the finalists.
For the A.L. MVP Award, Yankee outfielder Aaron Judge, Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh, and Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez are the finalists. The consensus seems to be that Judge and Raleigh are fighting it out for first place.
The N.L. MVP finalists are Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers, Kyle Schwarber for the Phillies, and Juan Soto of the Mets. Ohtani appears to be a lock, with Schwarber and Soto vying for second.
Hunter Brown of the Astros, Garrett Crochet of the Red Sox, and Tarik Skubal of the Tigers are the finalists for the A.L. Cy Young Award. In the N.L., Cristopher Sanchez of the Phillies, Paul Skenes of the Pirates, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Dodgers are the final three.
The A.L. Rookie of the Year Award finalists are Roman Anthony of the Red Sox, Nick Kurtz of the Northern California Athletics, and Jacob Wilson of the Northern California Athletics. The National League has Caleb Durbin of the Brewers, Cade Horton of the Cubs, and Drake Baldwin of the Braves as the finalists.
Finally, the Manager of the Year finalists are John Schneider, Stephen Vogt and Dan Wilson in the A.L., and Terry Francona, Rob Thomson and Pat Murphy in the N.L.
