Tom Izzo has secured the second member of the 2027 recruiting class with the addition of center Jaydn Jenkins. Jenkins, from Archbishop Wood High School in suburban Philadelphia, was on campus recently for the annual Grind Week along with fellow commit Antonio Pemberton. For those keeping score at home, that means Izzo went 2-for-2 in this year’s Grind Week attendees.

Jenkins stands 6’10” tall and has a 7’4” wingspan. The 6’10” may feel short when compared to current
centers Anton Bonke and Ethan Taylor, but maybe the high school senior will still add an inch or two to his height. More importantly, he is a highly rated recruit in the 2027 cycle. The composite rankings have him as the #8 center and #60 overall player in the nation.
In addition to his high school team, Jenkins played on the Nike EYBL Circuit over the summer. He recorded 8.0 PPG on 67.2% shooting, 4.6 RPG, and 1.3 BPG in that competition. You can check out some of his highlights here:
Michigan State now has a point guard and a center for the 2027 class. Who or what else is on your wish list?
