Former Contender Series standout, Cameron Rowston, delivered an impressive debut finish earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 27, 2025) at UFC Perth LIVE on ESPN+ from inside RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, stopping middleweight veteran Andre Petroski with a first-round TKO (punches).
Rowston, who fought on Contender Series just six weeks ago, looked strong in the early going. He was able to use his length to pop off some shots and avoid any potential takedown attempts by Petroski. Eventually, Rowston was able to land
a sneaky counter shot. Petroski fell awkwardly to the ground as Rowston rushed in. Rowston pounced on top and unloaded heavy ground-and-pound to put Petroski away.

Rowston, 30, could not have done a better job to capture his first UFC win in front of his home crowd. Petroski is a pretty durable middleweight and Rowston put him out in dominant fashion. It’s a good sign of things to come from “Battle Giraffe.”
