Memorial Day weekend, Jim Ross made it New York City to call Jon Moxley’s AEW Continental title match at Double or Nothing. He got to do what he loves to do on May 26, but getting to Queens was a “horrible experience” for the 74-year-old legend. Ross suffered his latest fall before leaving, and threw his back out traveling from his native Oklahoma. He shared all that Grilling JR, where Ross also told podcasting partner Conrad Thompson doctors had him “going through a lot of tests”, including for dementia.
He shared another update Saturday afternoon (June 20) on social media. JR didn’t say why he’s been hospitalized for more than three weeks, so we don’t know what specifically he’s fighting. The WWE Hall of Famer and long-time AEW employee has dealt with falls and cancer in recent years. But this weekend he was doing something else he loves — supporting the University of Oklahoma — and seemed to be up for whatever his current fight is against.
