The Seattle Seahawks have chosen their captains for Super Bowl 60, and increased their usual delegation.
After a season of rotating weekly captains, the Seahawks changed up this aspect somewhat slightly through the playoffs.
Now, for the final showdown of the 2025 season, this list is reflective of the experience, accolades, and leadership that have brought Seattle to become Super Bowl favorites.
With five captains for this game, Offensive Player
of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the quiet one of the bunch, is joined by among the most vocal players in the clubhouse. Future Offensive Coordinator Somewhere Cooper Kupp, is the offensive veteran presence. Same goes for Leonard Williams, who has largely crafted a defense in his own image, which is built far more on brotherly love and love for the game than a cutthroat showboat charisma. Devon Witherspoon, the one Mike Macdonald often refers to as the engine of the defense, no one tops his energy. Lastly Brady Russell, who’s been up here for weeks representing the Special Teams unit that has become the game’s best.
This is a forceful “off the bus” group for Seattle, set to fill the screen in around 48 hours as they call the coin toss and fight for west coast glory.
