Against the Vikings, there was no doubt that the stand-up performer of the night was running back Cody Schrader.
You can’t help but feel for all these players who are waking up on Saturday morning wondering if they did enough to be enough for the Denver Broncos this year. Jonah Coleman and Que Robinson each made Christopher Hart’s 53-man projection, but eyes will certainly be upon Schrader, not for his 42-yards on 13-carries, but for his 90-yards and 1 touchdown on 6 pass receptions. Scotty Payne believes Schrader may have done enough to possibly sneak onto the Broncos practice squad, so it’s entirely possible there could be a little spin yet in Payton’s chair.
