The Cowboys are gearing up for their Sunday night showdown with the Packers, a game that is overshadowed by the return of Micah Parsons exactly one month after he was traded. While all eyes will be on Parsons in this
one, right now we’re taking a look at who won’t be suiting up tonight.
The two big names here are the expected ones: CeeDee Lamb and Tyler Booker. The Cowboys have considered putting them both on the injured reserve, but haven’t done so yet. As such, they’re inactives for tonight’s game, which will certainly be a talking point going up against an elite Packers defense.
The other inactives alongside those two are mostly the usual suspects: Jaydon Blue, Ajani Cornelius, Jay Toia, and Damone Clark. While Clark is a first time inactive this season, he was a healthy scratch for much of last year, and seemingly returns to that role now.
Also of note, the Cowboys are making some changes to their secondary. While Trevon Diggs – who has dealt with a hamstring issue in recent weeks – is active, it sounds as if he’ll start this game on the bench. The Cowboys are going with DaRon Bland – who is active and playing for the first time since the season opener – Kaiir Elam, and Reddy Steward as their top three corners, with plans to rotate Diggs in.
As for the Packers, they’ll be without three different offensive linemen for this game, including starters Zach Tom and Aaron Banks. Their absences on the offensive line certainly make for an intriguing matchup against an underperforming Dallas pass rush that will see Jadeveon Clowney’s debut tonight.
