FanDuel Sportsbook released its week 13 college football lines and BYU opened as a 2.5-point road favorite over Cincinnati. The point total is 53.5. The game will be broadcast at 8pm ET on FOX.
BYU is 9-1 after a dominating 44-13 home win over TCU Saturday night. BYU controls its own destiny to make the College Football Playoff. If BYU wins its last two games at Cincinnati and home to UCF then BYU will punch its ticket to Dallas. A 1-1 record for the Cougs in the last two games makes things trickier.
BYU would win a head-to-head tiebreaker over Utah, but multi-team tiebreakers get more complicated. BYU can clinch a spot in the conference championship game as early as next week with a win plus loss by Arizona State at Colorado and loss by Houston to TCU.
Cincinnati no longer controls its own destiny after losing at home to Arizona Saturday, which will also drop them out of the College Football Rankings. The Bearcats are now 7-3 overall and 5-2 overall in the Big 12. Cincinnati must win out to have any chance at qualifying for the Big 12 title game.
Cincinnati has lost two consecutive games and Junior QB Brendan Sorsby has had two of his worst games in both of those losses. Sorsby for the season has thrown for 2,218 yards, 22 TDs, 4 interceptions, and ran for 483 yards and 9 TDs. All 4 of Sorsby’s interceptions have come in the Bearcats’ 3 losses, including 2 picks versus Arizona.
