The Michigan Wolverines lost linebacker Cole Sullivan to an injury in the win at Michigan State a week ago, and while we never got an official injury status for him earlier this week from head coach Sherrone Moore, we now know his status heading into tonight’s game at the Big House against Purdue.
Not only will Sullivan be out, but so will several other significant contributors. Here is this week’s fully loaded injury report:
Out
- S Rod Moore
- RB Justice Haynes
- LB Cole Sullivan
- RB Micah Ka’apana
- LB Jimmy Rolder
- OL Evan Link
Out for season
- WR I’Marion Stewart
- RB Donovan Johnson
- LB Jaydon Hood
- OL Andrew Babalola
- Edge Devon Baxter
- WR C.J. Charleston
Questionable
- TE Hogan Hansen
Not only is Sullivan out, but so is senior Jimmy Rolder, who put in a phenomenal
10-tackle game last weekend at MSU. With both of those guys unavailable, look for Georgia transfer Troy Bowles and true freshmen Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng and Chase Taylor to play alongside Ernest Hausmann at the linebacker position this weekend.
It is also very unfortunate that running back Justice Haynes is out for this game. He played throughout the MSU game last week and was a huge reason the Wolverines ran for 276 yards on the Spartans. Look for Jordan Marshall to carry the load once again, with true freshman Jasper Parker spelling him on occasion.
Finally, Hogan Hansen has been upgraded from “out” to “questionable” after missing last week’s game in East Lansing. With the bye week looming, I wouldn’t be surprised if he sits for one more week before playing in the next game in two weeks against Northwestern.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
