Barring a miracle, FSU’s hopes for a top-eight national seed came to an end Friday after the Seminoles squandered a comeback attempt vs. the Pitt Panthers in the semifinal of the ACC Tournament:
Florida State was confirmed as a regional host on Sunday ahead of Monday’s selection show (12 p.m., ESPN2):
D1 Baseball currently has the FSU as the No. 11 seed, hosting Oklahoma State, Kentucky and Binghamton and paired up with No. 6
Texas’ regional. Baseball America is projecting the Seminoles as the No. 10 seed and Jacksonville State, Louisana and Rider heading to Tallahassee, paired up with No. 7 Alabama’s regional.

On3 did a ranking of the top 100 players in college football, ranking Duce Robinson at No. 74 and Mandrell Desir at No. 97:

This is the more productive of the Desir twins up front for the Seminoles after he recorded 30 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks last season as a freshman before earning All-ACC Honorable Mention and ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year runner-up accolades. Desir’s sack total was the third-most in program history for a first-year player, and he ended the campaign with at least 0.5 sacks in five consecutive games. Like his brother, Darryll, Mandrell Desir played in every game, starting twice. Florida State retaining the Desir family on its 2026 roster was imperative to its defensive rebuild.
New UF coach Jon Summrall was asked to rank the Gators’ biggest rivals, putting FSU at the top as 1A and Georgia as 1B:
