Alessandro Bastoni is thought to be one of Barcelona’s top transfer targets ahead of the summer window but the Italy defender is in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, currently.
The center-back was sent off in Italy’s World Cup play-off against Bosnia and Herzegovina which ended in defeat and means the Azzurri will miss the finals for the third time in a row.
Bastoni’s also been having a difficult time at Inter after being booed by fans for his part in a controversial red card for Pierre Kalulu’s
during the Derby d’Italia.
The Italy defender is now facing even more criticism in his homeland for Italy’s World Cup failure which may well affect his future ahead of the summer transfer window.
