One of the worst kept secrets in college football recruiting came to fruition on Monday — Legend Bey flipped his commitment from Tennessee to Ohio State. The four-star athlete made his announcement today after the move was heavily rumored all weekend long.
Bey visited Ohio State last weekend to seal the deal after being committed to Tennessee for four months. The 5-10, 175 pound athlete currently plays quarterback at the high school level, but projects as a wide receiver at the college level. Bey originally chose Tennessee over Texas A&M back in the summer months.
Tennessee has since picked up commitments from five-star Tristen Keys and high four-star Salesi Moa. Keys is a top five player nationally and Moa ranks inside of the top 50. Wide receiver was certainly a big position of need for the Volunteers in this class, and they’ve solidified that group with a stellar class. Four-star receiver Tyreek King, a Knoxville native, is also a part of this group.
Tennessee is left with 23 total commitments in the class of 2026. Per 247Sports, Tennessee has the eighth ranked class in the country. Ohio State picks up their 25th commitment in the class, currently sitting with the seventh ranked class.
The early signing period begins in just under a month.
