AEW tried a new concept to mash the worlds of professional wrestling and golf together for the Collision special Fairway To Hell (May 9, 2026). The indoor venue was SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The golfing setup is a combo of high-tech driving simulator combined with real strokes on a putting green. All that to say it was a unique aesthetic for a wrestling event. The show was pretty standard in general until the main event. AEW saved the best for last letting Darby Allin and PAC off
the leash to get crazy in a world title bout, and it was awesome.
Allin and PAC made full use of their surroundings. The bout was no count-outs, so Allin immediately exited the ring to fight on the green. They went buckwild into the sand trap. Allin hit a sunset flip bomb into the sand, and he dropkicked PAC into the bunker. PAC is no dummy. He threw sand in Allin’s face. PAC executed an overhead suplex into the sand. PAC slapped on the Brutalizer submission, but the finished needed to be inside the ring. PAC changed tactics for a gorilla press slam into the sand.
If you thought that was crazy, then you haven’t seen anything yet. Just wait for the balcony table spot to come.
The match continued with actual wrestling inside the ring. PAC revved up for his running clothesline. Allin went low to clip the knee and snatched PAC for the Scorpion Death Drop.
PAC regained control for an avalanche Falcon Arrow. He went high-risk for a shooting star press onto tables. Allin moved away, and PAC crashed through the wood.
Allin showed urgency to load PAC into the ring for the Scorpion Deathlock. PAC demonstrated intestinal fortitude to crawl to the ropes for the break. PAC waved in for help from the Death Riders. Allin took the bait as a distraction, and PAC clobbered a clothesline from behind. PAC executed a tombstone piledriver on the steel steps. That could have been enough to beat Allin, but PAC had a grander plan in mind. Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia stacked a pyramid of tables, while PAC carried Allin up to the balcony. Allin showed signs of life to fight back, but PAC hit him with a low blow and shoved him from high above crashing through the tables. This was insane.
PAC rushed back down to load Allin into the ring. 1, 2, kick out by the champ. Marina Shafir distracted the referee. PAC grabbed the title belt as a weapon. Allin snapped to his senses and fired up. He kicked PAC in the groin, hit him with the title belt, and launched for a Coffin Drop to win.
Enjoy the crazy highlight reel.
Allin isn’t stopping here. He will keep running through challengers until his body can’t hold up any longer. Next on the list is Konosuke Takeshita for Dynamite. Takeshita is a replacement for Kazuchika Okada, who returned to Japan for personal matters.
