It appears that wide receiver Jonathan Mingo is a part of the 2026 Dallas Cowboys roster.
Word of this perceived confirmation began to swirl as Friday night’s preseason finale was about to kick off. You see, Mingo was seen without pads on as the game against the New Orleans Saints was set to begin.
If you are unaware as to how people can make this leap, players who do not play in the preseason (unless dealing with injury) generally
do not because the team does not want to risk them. They are on the team.
It was almost two years ago when the Cowboys sent a fourth-round pick to the Carolina Panthers to acquire Mingo. Just this past week against the Arizona Cardinals he caught his first touchdown with the team, and even though it came in a preseason game it was Mingo’s first touchdown of any kind (regular or preseason game) in the NFL period.
He will in all likelihood have future opportunities to catch more with the Dallas Cowboys.
