Mizzou is dipping into the transfer portal to solve its punting issues for 2026… and perhaps giving itself another option at kicker as well.
Florida State punter and kicker Brunno Reus confirmed on Instagram
on Tuesday that he was committed to Mizzou after transferring out of the Seminoles’ program.
Coming out of high school, Reus was a five-star Kohl’s prospect both as a kicker and a punter. He only attempted two extra points during his true freshman season, making both.
Mizzou has a clear need for a punter after Conor Weselman’s graduation, so Reus should be the man to beat on that front. However, the Tigers also struggled in the kicking game last season after returning kicker Blake Craig tore his ACL during the first game of the season. Backup Robert Meyer was ineffective and transferred after the season.
Should Craig need extra time to rehab or struggle to return to his excellent 2024 form, Reus would give the Tigers another option in a phase of the game that has proven crucial to Eli Drinkwitz’s success in Columbia.
