What is the story about?

The Cincinnati Bengals needed a spectacular performance from Joe Burrow to escape with an overtime victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, but oddsmakers aren’t expecting the same kind of offensive fireworks when Cincinnati faces the Atlanta Falcons next weekend.

Still, with the Bengals’ defense continuing to struggle, the early betting lines suggest another potentially high-scoring affair.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Cincinnati opened as a 3.5-point favorite over Atlanta, with the Bengals

listed at -225 on the moneyline and the Falcons at +188. The opening over/under was set at 49.5 points.

The latest FanDuel odds show Cincinnati remaining a 3.5-point favorite, although the price has shifted to -102 for the Bengals and -120 for the Falcons. The Bengals’ moneyline has moved to -184, while Atlanta’s stands at +154. The over/under has increased by one point to 50.5.

The Bengals enter the matchup following a wild 43-36 overtime victory over Tennessee that featured five touchdown passes and three interceptions from Burrow, who ultimately delivered the winning score by scrambling nine yards around left end for just the second offensive overtime touchdown in franchise history.

But while Cincinnati’s offense once again demonstrated its ability to put points on the scoreboard, the defense raised serious questions. The Bengals surrendered 36 points in regulation to a Tennessee team that entered Sunday’s game with just one victory, delivering a performance that looked disturbingly similar to the defensive struggles that plagued Cincinnati throughout last season.

Atlanta, meanwhile, is coming off a 16-0 shutout loss to a Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad that did not complete a single pass. That sets up an intriguing matchup between a Falcons offense that couldn’t find the end zone and a Bengals defense that had difficulty keeping the Titans out of it.

Cincinnati and Atlanta are scheduled to meet Sunday, November 8, at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, Spain, with kickoff set for 9:30 a.m. Eastern time.
