What is the story about?
Jedd Fish surprised the team by moving their practice to the practice facility of the reigning Super Bowl champs. A couple of UW Men’s Basketball players announced that they are leaving, and a UW Women’s Basketball player will be trying out for the Seattle Storm. Those and more for your Wednesday Dots.
Football Dots
- Dawgman has their recap of spring practice #7 which took place in the Seattle Seahawks’ VMAC facility. It seems that the defense is still leading the offense at this point. Here’s some video from practice. That’s freshman Derek Zammit (15) and Demond Williams (1) taking turns throwing. Some of the players making good catches are Trez Davis (12), Mason James (6), Baron Naone (85), Ryken Moon (32), Ansu Sanoe (30), Brian Bonner (34), Rashid Williams (3), and Chris Lawson (8).
- Dawgman also has a transcript of an interview with Alex McLaughlin. Alex talks about some of the other players in the secondary as well as some of the true freshmen WR’s.
- SI’s Dan Raley has his pictures and notes on the practice in the VMAC, including a note at the end that safety CJ Christian, who missed most of last year left the practice facility on crutches.

UW Athletics Dots
- Andrew Berg has his weekly update on UW Softball which is now ranked #20 after their sweep of Minnesota last weekend.
- UW’s Elle Ladine received a training camp invitation from the Seattle Storm.
- Two of UW’s Men’s Basketball players announced that they will be leaving. Franck Kepnang will be entering the Transfer Portal while Hannes Steinbach will declare for the NBA Draft.
- UW’s Beach Volleyball team is ranked #19 and they have a new head coach. The previous interim coach, Steve McFadden, has been named the official head coach.
- UW Women’s Tennis finished the season undefeated at home after wins over Minnesota and Wisconsin last weekend. They are ranked #22 and have matches at Penn State (Friday) and at Ohio State (Sunday) to finish the regular season before the Big Ten Championships in Columbus, Ohio April 23-26.
