Struggles continue for LHV pitching. However, Seth Johnson has been quite good over his last 9 appearances with a line of: 9 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB and 15 Ks. That is about the only highlight these days. Otto Kemp with a decent week with his first three AAA homers of the season.

Alex Binelas – 6 G, 9 for 20, 3 R, 2B, HR, 6 RBI, 4 BB, 6 K
What has gotten into Bryan Rincon and where can I get some more? The previously offensive deficient Rincon is slashing .255/.371/.500 with 6 HR, 14 SB and 19 walks to 26 strikeouts in 132 plate appearances. He hasn’t hit this well anywhere since being drafted. Aroon Escobar with a solid week as well, mashing his 3rd HR of the season and brought his stolen base total to 10 (with no CS). Alex Binelas is up to 10 homers.

Raider Tello – 5 G, 7 for 23, 4 R, 3 2B, RBI, BB, 9 K
Tough week for the BlueClaws who went 1-5. Pitching was their downfall, but Mavis Graves had another impressive start this week. The 5 IP were a season-high as well as his 9 strikeouts. He is up to 34 strikeouts to 9 walks in 21 innings. The struggling Saltiban with one of his best weeks since last season, mashed his 1st HR of the season. The power has slowed slipped away over the years for Saltiban, hitting 17 HRs in 2024, then dipping to just 7 in 2025.
Clearwater Threshers (20-13)
Pitching Highlights:
Zuher Yousuf – 1 GS, 3.2 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 3 K

Gage Wood – 1 GS, 2.2 Ip, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 3 K, HR, WP
Ramon Marquez – 1 GS, 4 Ip, 1 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 9 K
Sean Youngerman – 1 GS, 4 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, BB, 0 K, WP
Wei-Hui Pan – 2 G, 2.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 8 K
Gabe Craig – 2 G, 2.2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, BB, 5 K, HBP
Hiting Highlights:
Gabriel Rincones Jr. – 3 G, 2 for 10, 4 R, HR, 4 RBI, 2 BB, 3 K
Griffin Burkholder – 4 G, 9 for 17, 3 R, 4 2B, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 0 BB, 2 K, CS

Jonathan Hogart – 6 G, 6 for 17, 7 R, 2B, 3B, HR, 2 RBI, 4 BB, 6 K, SB
Victor Cardoza – 3 G, 8 for 11, 6 R, 2B, HR, 5 RBI, 0 BB, K, CS
Alirio Ferrebus is probably not long for Clearwater at this point as he improves his line to .368/.421/.613 with 5 HR, 5 SB and 7 walks to 16 strikeouts in 121 plate appearances in the early season. Gabriel Rincones makes his 2026 debut this past week albeit on rehab assignment. The big lefthander will eventually rejoin Lehigh Valley in the coming weeks. Griffin Burkholder has talent (he was a 2nd Round Pick), he just has to find a way to stay on the field (a problem the past couple years). Those were his first two homers of the season after having all of four in 2025 (in 34 games). The 20 year old Victor Cardoza makes a splash in his Threshers debut. Sadly, a tough start for Gage Wood this week as he found trouble finding the plate. Growing pains!
