NFL Network’s Stacey Dales, who will be on the call for today’s Chicago Bears vs Cincinnati Bengals preseason game, caught up with Bears quarterback Caleb Williams yesterday and shared an interview on her socials.
It’s a quick clip, but there’s a bunch packed into it, which provides a peek into Caleb’s mindset heading into year two of Ben Johnson’s scheme. Williams gets into his growth, some of his pre-snap responsibilities, what he’s thinking as he heads to the line of scrimmage, and how he can be
the “big eraser” when he needs to check into a new play. He also explains what’s new this year for him compared to 2025, how his center, Garrett Bradbury, handles a lot of the protection, and how these extended road trips (the Bears have been in Cincy for a few days) are great for team chemistry.
