The Tampa Bay Buccaneers opened Week 1 preparations Wednesday with five players limited or sidelined ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Running back Sean Tucker was the only Buccaneer who did not participate, sitting out with a hamstring injury. Tampa Bay also had four players limited: outside linebacker Rueben Bain Jr. with a shoulder issue, wide receiver Jalen McMillan with a knee injury, linebacker Christian Rozeboom with a foot injury and offensive tackle Justin Skule with an oblique
injury.
There was better news for wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and guard Billy Schrauth, as both were full participants despite toe and knee injuries, respectively.
Cincinnati’s initial report was relatively clean. Wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins were both full participants with knee and foot injuries, while defensive end Shemar Stewart practiced fully despite a knee issue.
The Buccaneers will continue monitoring the group as Sunday’s season opener approaches, with Thursday and Friday practices providing more clarity on availability.
