Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) held its official pre-fight press conference on Thurs. (watch here) for the upcoming debut MMA event on Netflix, MVP MMA 1, which is locked and loaded for this weekend (Sat., May 16, 2026) inside Intuit Arena in Inglewood, California.
The main and co-main event fighters were on hand and came face-to-face following the press conference festivities, setting the tone for what promises to be a wild night of fights.
That includes the night’s headliners as former UFC Bantamweight
queen Ronda Rousey returns to action after nearly a decade away from the cage opposite women’s MMA pioneer Gina Carano, who hasn’t been in the cage herself since 2009.
In the co-main event, the legendary Nate Diaz will make his return to MMA to square off with the face of Bare Knuckle Boxing, Mike Perry. Both men have been more active recently in striking competition, be that BKFC or gloved boxing. Either way, it’s nice to have the duo back in the cage, ready to throw bombs. Additionally, there’s another high-profile return, as lineal Heavyweight kingpin Francis Ngannou will take on UFC veteran Philipe Lins to round out the top of the card.
