Josh Harris added his name to the list of former Hoosiers entering the transfer portal after spending a single season in Bloomington. As with fellow portalee Jason Drake, Harris never saw the floor for Indiana. He started and ended the season on the injury list.
Looking back to what we wrote in our preseason scouting report, Harris made for an intriguing prospect, if only because he and Trent Sisley were the only true front court players on the roster with eligibility remaining after the season.
Given
how short handed Indiana was at center, it would have been interesting to see what he could have brought to the table. I expected him to be something like a significantly less experienced Sam Alexis, but Alexis’ experience proved invaluable as the Hoosiers found themselves fighting for an NCAA Tournament bid over most of the second half of the season.
With Harris, Miles and Drake gone, Indiana is left with Sisley, Nick Dorn, and Aleksa Ristic as the only three scholarship players who saw any game time last season, plus three incoming freshmen. Look for another busy portal season to fill this roster out.
