Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl knows that to make money, you have to spend money.
However, sometime the amount you have to spend can have a big effect. At a time where the club might need to make key move, Bayern Munich is working to build its bankroll back up.
“We’ve started to build up our reserves again. But that’s not a process that’s completed overnight; we also have existing contracts with their respective expiration dates, which of course must be respected. We’re trying to continue
building the best possible squad while keeping costs down, but we’re also in the process of extending contracts, which comes at a price,” Eberl told Sport Bild’s Henning Feindt, Christian Falk, and Tobi Altschäffl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
There will be key contract extensions and probably some new signings as well. Bayern Munich will need money and Eberl will likely have to stretch it out as much as possible. Clearly, Eberl will need to be flexible and creative to make it all work.
