It’s time for the third and final round between the NFC West champion Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.
The Seattle Seahawks started the year with a Week 1 loss at Lumen Field to the 49ers and ended
the regular season with an NFC West title in Santa Clara. They’ve set a franchise record with 14 wins and are looking to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 2014 season. Meanwhile, the banged up 49ers have somehow found a way into the Divisional Round after a 12-5 regular season and an upset win over the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.
One thing we do know is that the rosters for this Saturday night will not be the same as Week 18. George Kittle is out for the season after an Achilles rupture, while safety Ji’Ayir Brown is out with a hamstring injury. Trent Williams is definitely back, while Ricky Pearsall could return from his injury. The Seahawks will have Charles Cross and Coby Bryant playing again, but there may be some close monitoring of Sam Darnold’s left oblique. He is likely to play despite the questionable tag.
The score is 1-1 with the road team winning both times. What happens in the rubber match? We’ll find out soon. Winner moves on to the NFC Championship Game, the loser can start booking tee times and trips to Cancun.
