The college basketball transfer portal is just heating up as it opens on Tuesday, April 7th, and the Kentucky Wildcats are expected to be involved with some of the top names.
Jalen Haralson is going to be a name to watch for the Wildcats. The Notre Dame transfer had a stellar freshman season for the Fighting Irish, averaging 16.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists a game. Haralson was also an All-ACC honorable mention.
KSR’s Jacob Polacheck reported that the Wildcats staff has been interested since
Haralson entered the portal on Thursday. There will be a lot of buzz around Haralson’s name throughout the process, but his team is working closely to sort through the potential list of schools.
Haralson, an Anderson, Indiana native, was a 4-star prospect out of high school and the No. 20 player overall in the 2025 recruiting cycle. He played basketball at La Lumiere School, a highly touted basketball institution where he was ranked the No. 2 player in the state of Indiana.
The Wildcats should be heavily involved in Haralson’s process when the portal officially opens.
