The race to sign Robert Lewandowski from Barcelona
appears to be hotting up with speculation the striker has received an eye-popping offer from Turkey.Lewandowski is already believed to have admirers in MLS, Saudi Arabia and Italy and it’s claimed that Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Besiktas are also keen.
Polish reporter Mateusz Borek has revealed just how much money Lewandowski could make if he heads to Turkey in the summer.
“Today, if he signs the contract, in two years of playing, Lewandowski could
earn 40-50 million euros net in Turkey,” he told Meczyki.
“He would receive about 10 million for the signing alone and about 15-20 million for the season of play. In my opinion, Barcelona will not pay half of this amount if they were to actually keep him.”
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has said he would like Lewandowski to stay for another year, but the striker won’t make a decision until the end of the season.
