The Cleveland Browns were down 20-10 just inside of the two-minute warning versus the Buffalo Bills despite very little from the home team’s run game. RB Quinshon Judkins had just 18 yards on seven carries with QB Shedeur Sanders leading the rushing attack with three scrambles for 35 yards.
Late in the 2nd quarter, Sanders threw a swing pass to Judkins with a Bills defender hitting the running back at the same time the ball arrived. Initially, Buffalo returned what was called a fumble for a touchdown.
That call was reversed to a catch and a six-yard loss.
The bigger story was that Judkins was injured on the play and carted off the field. The broadcast chose not to show a replay of the injury due to its severity, but you can see the frustration from Judkins after the play:
It was announced as a right lower leg injury. Judkins was seen with an air cast on his right leg as he was carted off the field. The team immediately ruled the talented running back out for the game.
