The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball has program has rescheduled its non-conference meeting with St. Joseph’s, per release.
Syracuse will host St. Joseph’s for a Dec. 11 meeting inside the JMA Wireless
Dome. That game will tip at 9 p.m. EST and marks an unconventional Thursday night game for basketball. The game was previously scheduled at a neutral site in Las Vegas prior to the Player’s Era tournament. St. Joe’s was initially scheduled to participate in the Player’s Era but with head coach Billy Lange taking a player development job with the New York Knicks, the Hawks had its invitation rescinded.
The Hawks will be led by head coach Steve Donahue in his first season. Donahue is best known for head coaching stints at Cornell from 2000-2010 and Boston College from 2010-2014. He took Cornell to three straight NCAA Tournaments in the late aughts, including a Sweet 16 in 2010.
St. Joseph’s was 22-13 overall and 11-7 in the Atlantic 10 Conference a season ago. Syracuse will have nine of its 13 non-conference games at home. See full schedule below.
