Notes & Thoughts:
- Zakee Wheatley, Amare Campbell, and Dominic DeLuca played every snap on defense. This lack of depth is not a sustainable model for the defense, and it has already fallen apart.
- The defense played 21 more snaps than the offense. In all three games against power conference competition, the defense has played at least 18 more snaps than the offense.
- With a season-ending injury to Drew Allar, Ethan Grunkemeyer takes over with just 28 snaps on the season and road games against Iowa and Ohio State looming. Not a great position to be in for Grunkemeyer.
- The coaching staff finally gave Kaytron Allen more snaps than Nicholas Singleton- just over his double his total snaps- and the run game continued to flow better with Allen as the lead back.
- AJ Harris had only 18 snaps in this game and was benched after giving up a touchdown in the second quarter.
- For the second straight game, TJ Shanahan played on every snap on the offensive line.
