Good morning, baseball fans!
As sad as it is, the San Francisco Giants are reaching the end of their 2025 season this weekend. If you’re planning to head out to a game, here’s what Oracle Park has on deck.
The entire weekend will feature Fan Appreciation Weekend events.
Tonight is the Willie Mac Award Ceremony. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:45 p.m. to partake in the festivities. As of the time this is being written, the Giants have announced that Marvin Benard, Dave Dravecky, Mike Felder, Mark Gardner, Larry Herndon, Nick Hundley, Mike Krukow, Buster Posey, J.T. Snow and Chris Speier will be in attendance (subject to change, of course.) So make sure you get there early and get ready to cheer on some of your favorite Forever Giants!
On Saturday, the first 40,000 fans in attendance will receive a Rafael Devers t-shirt giveaway. And that’s how it should be, dang it. What’s the point of doing a giveaway promotion to get people to buy tickets to specific games if you only give out a few thousand? But I digress. Saturday will also feature a special event, Dog Days 2! Because you can never have enough dog days, in my opinion. If your dog is a good dog (and of course they are), you can celebrate them if you purchase the special event ticket for this game.
Sunday is, of course, the last game of the season. Fan Appreciation Weekend festivities will continue, but the details are pretty non-existent when it comes to what that actually entails. So opt in for that one if you like surprises, I guess!
If you’re headed to the park this weekend, have fun and make sure to share pictures!
