Serie A outfits Milan welcome back Christopher Nkunku to training following his recovery from injury.
According to a report by Tuttosport this morning (via Milan News), Christopher Nkunku’s return to training midweek has made him available for selection for the Rossoneri’s fixture against newly promoted Pisa this weekend.
Massimiliano Allegri is set to have an additional attacker for the match alongside the likes of Rafael Leao and Santiago Gimenez. Nkunku is expected to start on the bench, giving
his head coach the option to start Leao and Gimenez together.
The Frenchman suffered a minor injury in his left foot while playing for his national team during the international break. He missed the game against Fiorentina, which Milan won, thanks to a brace from Leao.
Meanwhile, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is yet to resume training and will therefore sit out the Pisa clash. The Englishman sustained a muscle strain during Milan’s preparations for the match against The Viola, and he has not been able to recover in time. Reports claim that he will be back for the Atalanta outing.
Apart from Loftus-Cheek, Allegri will miss Pervis Estupinan, who has been on the treatment table since injuring his ankle while featuring for Ecuador. Davide Bartesaghi will take the left-back role for Milan, and he is making a strong case for himself to become a starter.
