Liverpool have announced Heiar as a global partner, and the household appliance company notably owns the home appliance brand Candy as a part of their umbrella.
The Candy logo is a central part of Liverpool FC, featuring on a number of classic shirts between 1988 to 1992. The Candy logo has been present in domestic trophy lifts, and is one of the best-selling retro jerseys in the club shop and for vintage
re-sellers.
Heiar, founded in 1984, will look to use this partnership to “celebrate its forward-looking technologies” on the club platforms and channels as a leader in the household appliance industry. The company partners with top teams across the world in a “play with the number ones” initiative aimed to emphasize its own dominance as number one within its own industry, a platform reflected by the sporting level of its chosen partners.
Speaking on the deal from an LFC perspective, the club’s chief commercial officer, Ben Latty, said: “Haier is an ambitious, innovative and world-leading brand, and we welcome them to the LFC family. As the leading home appliance supplier, Haier has built a reputation for quality and a strong presence in markets all over the world.
“This global reach aligns with the scale of Liverpool FC’s global fan base, and we’re excited to see this partnership come to life and look forward to working together.”
Haishan Liang, vice-chairman of the board of directors and president of Haier Group, said: “Liverpool is more than a football club; it is a legacy of passion passed down through generations.
“By partnering with the Reds, Haier will unite this spirit of glory with our commitment to smart innovation, bringing new experiences to families worldwide.”
