Kentucky Football has had a great last month-and-a-half, and now they’re continuing their momentum by adding a local, homegrown player to their roster.
Georgetown College defensive tackle Ben Reeves shared
on social media Thursday that he has committed to Kentucky. He has three years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-1, 240-pound lineman spent the last two years playing for Georgetown College at the NAIA level. He appeared in 10 games last fall, tallying 30 tackles, five tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two pass defenses, and a forced fumble.
Obviously, jumping from the NAIA level to the SEC is a massive leap. It’s uncertain how much of Reeves we will see in 2026, but it’s still great to see Stein and his staff dipping into the talent that is in the Bluegrass State.
A Northern Kentucky native, Reeves played high school football with UK tight end Willie Rodriguez at Covington Catholic.
Georgetown College is located just up Interstate 75, about 15 minutes and miles from Kentucky’s campus, so you know this is a very special moment for Reeves and his family.
