La Liga president Javier Tebas criticized Real Madrid on his social media once again.
“Real Madrid’s leaders conduct an orchestra of spokespeople, and Real Madrid TV takes the lead. Their score is always the same: select the plays that matter, repeat the grievance, fuel suspicion, and point out the enemies. That method is reminiscent of propaganda mechanisms exploited by Goebbels, Minister of Propaganda for Nazi Germany: systematic repetition, the construction of an enemy, and the subordination of facts
to the narrative. The comparison is with these propaganda techniques, not with an ideology nor, of course, with the Real Madrid fanbase,” he posted.
Tebas is referring to Real Madrid TV’s criticism of the referees and also the team’s schedule after it was announced that the team will face Valencia on Saturday, November 7th even though they will face AEK Athens the previous Wednesday.
“Real Madrid TV is a central piece of that machinery. Where’s the full analysis of each matchday’s games? Where are the possible errors that hurt other clubs or those that favor Real Madrid? If they applied the same magnifying glass to all games, maybe the result would ruin their script. But the script demands that Real Madrid always appear as the victim. And that same technique is now being transferred to the schedules: they tell what fuels the grievance and hide the context that would allow it to be verified,” he added.
