Melker Ellborg: 5/10
Dallied on the ball quite a bit, due to Leeds not being baited into the press. Made a good second half save with his shoulder but got his feet all wrong for the goal.
Nordi Mukiele: 7/10
Never troubled defensively. Got up and down the line really well, put in a couple of good crosses and got in a good position himself but for Hume to take too long to pass to him.
Dan Ballard: 6/10
Used the ball well at the back, although did get a little lucky at one point when he was closed down on the edge of the area.
Luke O’Nien (C): 6/10
Really good on the ball tonight,
with some good diagonals to spread play.
Reinildo: 6/10
Most of Leeds play while he was on the pitch came down his side but he dealt with it well and got forward often to give Mundle an option on the overlap. Put in a couple of crosses into good areas but without anyone on the end of them.
Alan Browne: 6/10
A really tidy display in front of the back four, kept the ball well all night but didn’t get forward as much as he did against Liverpool.
Enzo Le Fee: 5/10
Thought he looked a little leggy tonight, although can’t blame that for giving the ball away so cheaply for the goal. Had one good sight of goal but mishit it out for a goalkick.
Chris Rigg: 6/10
Another tidy display in midfield, not as eye-catching as the Liverpool game but a controlled performance.
Trai Hume: 6/10
Played in a more advanced role but then dropped back when Mukiele charged up, had one shot deflected just wide but should have done better when Mukiele had overlapped in the first half.
Romaine Mundle: 5/10
Saw a first time effort flash wide following a Hume back pass, was really quiet when he hugged the touchline but far more involved when he burst into the middle of the pitch.
Brian Brobbey: 6/10
Could see he wasn’t quite ready yet but held the ball up well as usual, put himself about and came close to scoring but a cross was just behind him.
Substitutes
Nilson Angulo: 6/10
Some flashes of his explosiveness out wide, with quick give and goes but obviously taking it easy after his return from World Cup duty.
Leo Hjelde: 6/10
Looked more relaxed than he did against Liverpool, with some assured defending and good passing.
Jenson Jones: 6/10
Was up against Dan James when he came on and did well against the Welsh international.
Archie Lightfoot: 6/10
Kept his side of the pitch quiet and read the game well when a dangerous cross came in to make sure the runner didn’t get past him.
Tom Proctor: 6/10
Covered a lot of ground after coming on, closed down well and linked up with Adingra.
Jenson Seelt: 6/10
Looked more comfortable alongside Hjelde today, making one good block in the box.
Noah Sadiki: 6/10
A typical Sadiki display, tireless running, tracking back and bursting forward. Also had the captain’s armband on following his introduction.
Habib Diarra: 6/10
Looked good after coming on, dropped deep when needed to pick the ball but was quick to make himself an option when we went forward.
Trey Ogunsuyi: 6/10
Wasn’t on for long but saw a header flash just wide of the post with his first touch from an Adingra cross.
Timur Tutierov: 7/10
Got in good positions when he was playing up top and had a couple of decent efforts with his head – although one probably came off his shoulder – and then had a really nice give-and-go with Adingra on the edge of the box but saw his shot well saved.
Simon Adingra: 6/10
Was very lively when he was on the ball, put a nice cross onto Ogunsuyi’s head and tried to make something happen.
Man of the Match: Timur Tutierov
Thought Tutierov put in a sterling effort after he replaced Brobbey, closed down well, got himself into positions to make something happen and with a bit more luck could have scored a goal or two.
