The Steelers have shuffled their practice squad some more ahead of Week 1. On Wednesday, the team made official the previously-reported signing of linebacker Jon Rhattigan to the practice squad.
Pittsburgh also announced another transaction, signing wide receiver Lance McCutcheon to the practice squad and releasing offensive lineman Aiden Williams.
McCutcheon fills the spot vacated by veteran receiver Robert Woods, who requested and was granted his release from the practice squad on Tuesday.
McCutcheon
played this preseason with the Steelers, recording 66 receiving yards and a touchdown. He has good size at 6’3, 202 pounds and has one career start from his time with the Rams. He reportedly ran a 4.57-second 40-yard dash coming out of college.
Williams, a member of the Steelers initial undrafted free agent class, played tackle at Minnesota Duluth in college but transitioned to guard in Pittsburgh.
The Steelers take on the Jets on Sunday, 1 p.m. EST, to kick off their 2025 NFL season.
