
Canelo Alvarez will be skipping today’s media day festivities, so don’t expect to hear anything from the super middleweight champion ahead of this weekend’s title fight on Netflix
. In addition, both Alvarez and opponent Terence Crawford have passed on tonight’s open workouts, putting the spotlight on undercard combatants like Callum Walsh, Fernando Vargas Jr., Christian Mbilli, Lester Martinez, Mohammed Alakel and John Ornelas, among others.Media day festivities will get underway LIVE at 3 p.m.

“For both men, to lose this fight is not a good look and it’s not going to be good for their legacies,” former champion, Andre Ward, told BBC Sport. “Do I think their legacies and what they’ve done prior to this should be wiped out with a loss?
