Among the top priorities for the Florida State coaching staff during this transfer portal cycle is to replace nearly every contributor along the offensive line. The Seminoles took a step toward that goal today, with veteran offensive lineman Nate Pabst committing to FSU.
Pabst is a 6-foot-5, 315 pound offensive lineman originally from Springdale, Ohio. Following this season, he was named to the All-MAC 2nd team after being elected a team captain for 2025. He only allowed one sack this past season.
Pabst has seen his PFF grades steadily increase each season, a good indicator of coachability and dedication to the craft. He has experience playing at right guard, right tackle, and left tackle, allowing OL coach Herb Hand some flexibility as to where to play him. He sounds like he’ll be a strong leader in the locker room as well.
Pabst is expected to have one season of eligibility remaining as a grad transfer. He should immediately factor into the offensive line rotation and push for a starting role at either tackle or guard, depending on who else FSU brings in at those spots.
