The USMNT has played its last match prior to the 2026 World Cup. Mauricio Pochettino named a starting XI that looks like it could be first-choice, with the exception of Miles Robinson, although depending on Chris Richards’ fitness level (and Pochettino’s evaluation of Mark McKenzie and Auston Trusty), Miles may be first-XI material right now too.
Kai Havertz opened the scoring for Germany in the second minute. Antonee Robinson equalized in the 37th with a fantastic full-volley from outside the box
after a corner kick. The ball was in the back of the net before German ‘keeper Oliver Baumann had really even started his dive. Leroy Sané added a second for Germany in the 57th minute, and that turned out to be the winner, as it finished 2-1.
