The latest Chicago Bears player to be unveiled in the NFL’s Top 100 countdown might not be a surprise to fans, but amazingly it’s his first time making the cut.
Left tackle Joe Thuney comes in at #49 on this year’s list following a 2025 campaign that saw the future Hall of Famer win the inaugural NFL Protector of the Year award.
Thuney has been named to the Pro Bowl 4-times, has been a 3-time first-team All-Pro, and a 2-time second-team All-Pro. He’s also won four Super Bowls. Yet Thuney has somehow
never made the player-voted Top 100 list.
In the Top 100 reveal video, Packers Edge rusher Micah Parsons calls Thuney “Mr. Consistent” and a “mastermind at the line.”
The video also features comments from Creed Humphrey, Thuney’s former teammate in Kansas City, as well as Tampa Bay’s Tristan Wirfs, who makes a point to talk about Thuney’s ability to move out to left tackle on the offensive line and still have success there as well.

Thuney is the third player on the Bears’ 2026 roster to be named to the list, following Caleb Williams (#51) and Montez Sweat (#91). Kevin Byard also made the list (#61) for his 2025 campaign with the Bears.
