The Buffalo Bills have taken a defensive approach to begin their official top-30 pre-draft visits ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, meeting with two linebackers in as many visits in the past week. After hosting linebacker Josiah Trotter earlier in the week, we know now that One Bills Drive has also had linebacker Kaleb Elarms-Orr in for an official visit, per a source shared with Ryan Talbot.
Though likely just coincidence due to scheduling, opening the hosting process with a pair of linebackers is at
least interesting on the surface. The team’s general interest in the position suggests the linebackers room could be set for a bit of an overhaul in 2026.
Where Trotter has impressed in limited opportunity, Elarms-Orr brings a similar size (6’2”, 230 pounds) with four seasons of college production over 1,899 snaps. Named First-Team All-Big 12 in 2025, Elarms-Orr brings a ton of athleticism to the table, finishing with a Relative Athletic Score of 9.71 for his work at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.
He ran a quick 4.47 40-yard dash, 1.59 10-yard split, and 4.41 20-yard shuffle on the field in Lucas Oil Stadium, all of which may translate well to a likely role on special teams early in his career, and later on against most skill players on offense. Additionally, Elarms-Orr put up a 40” vertical and 10’4” broad jump in agility drills.
In his assessment of Elarms-Orr, NFL analyst Lance Zierlein sees him as “a well-built linebacker with above-average athleticism but problematic instincts.” Zierlein says that despite possessing the traits needed to chase the ball carrier across the field, Elarms-Orr is “rangy but average in zone coverage,” and that he’s shown to struggle with “recognizing blocking schemes and too often loses track of play development. Still, there’s much to like about his game tape, which may include his potential as a sub-pack blitzer.
A fifth-year player who made 47 starts after missing his entire freshman season, Elarms-Orr totaled 276 tackles (135 solo), 19 tackles for loss, seven sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries, and seven pass defenses between his time at both the University of California and Texas-Christian University. Elarm-Orr’s final season at TCU shows production that jumps off the page, with him racking up 130 combined tackles (60 solo), 11 tackles for loss, four sacks, and two pass defenses.
Elarms-Orr is currently projected to hear his name called on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, which could put him in line to land in Buffalo as a developmental off-ball linebacker.
