It’s Sunday, and you know what that means — it’s time for our weekly social media roundup! These past seven days have been, unsurprisingly, rather slow on the baseball front, as the NBA, NFL, and college
football take center stage over the December holidays. How have the Yankees been spending their Christmas break? Let’s find out in the final edition of the Social Media Spotlight for 2025!
Happy Holidays from the Yankees
To lead off this week’s roundup, we’ve got a compilation of holiday posts from throughout the Yankees Universe: the official team account, current players, former players, broadcasters, and more!
Happy Birthday, Gus!
The Captain’s pup, Gus, celebrated his birthday this week. Happy Birthday to the good boy!

The Pinstripe Bowl
Yesterday, Yankee Stadium hosted the annual Pinstripe Bowl between Clemson and Penn State.
Although they went on to lose the game, Clemson made sure their players enjoyed their time in the greatest city in the world.
Penn State, meanwhile, also had some fun on the ‘Gram.
Big G Goes Home
Continuing his winter of service, Giancarlo Stanton hosted an event for Little Leaguers in Tujunga, California, where he paid for food trucks, pitched to kids, answered questions for a half hour, and signed autographs for more than two hours. What an awesome moment for these kids!
Congrats, Jazz…Again
A few weeks back, Jazz Chisholm Jr. posted about getting engaged, then deleted it. As it turns out, he deleted it because he was jumping the gun a bit — as he proposed to his girl on Christmas under the Northern Lights. So, once again, congratulations to Jazz!
Winter Training
Yankees backup catcher J.C. Escarra posted some pictures of himself prepping for the 2026 season, while former Yankees reliever Jake Cousins showed off his first post-Tommy John surgery throwing session.
Farewell, Luke
Former Yankees reliever Luke Weaver, who became the latest pitcher to switch boroughs, took to Instagram to thank Yankees fans for their love and support in his 2+ years in pinstripes.
The McMahons at a Wedding
Ryan McMahon and his wife Natalie attended their friends’ wedding this week.
Props to Somerset’s Social Media Team
The Somerset Patriots social media team is undefeated — in addition to their holiday elf-on-a-shelf post seen above, they highlighted top prospect Carlos Lagrange with this post:
Let us hope he’s as good at striking out opposing batters as [SEASON 5 SPOILER REDACTED].
