Today, the Colorado Avalanche take on the Winnipeg Jets on the first leg of their first back-to-back of the season. This will be the first of four regular-season matchups between these two teams.
Colorado Avalanche (2-0-0)
The Avs kicked off their regular season this past week as they took on the Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues at Ball Arena and secured wins over both of those teams. Most recently, Colorado comes into this matchup against the Jets off of a 6-1 win over the Blues, and tonight, they look to continue their,
albeit small, win streak.
The Avs do have some positive injury updates coming into this back-to-back as well, as Zachary L’Heureux and Logan O’Connor are expected to play at one point or another on this back-to-back.
Projected Lineup
Artturi Lehkonen – Nathan MacKinnon – Martin Necas
Gabriel Landeskog – Brock Nelson – Nazem Kadri
Jaden Schwartz – Fedor Svechkov – T.J. Hughes
Parker Kelly – Nic Roy – Zachary L’Heureux
Devon Toews – Cale Makar
Brett Kulak – Sam Malinski
Josh Manson – Brent Burns

Winnipeg Jets (2-0-1)
It wasn’t exactly a secret that the Jets were, and still are, expected to miss the playoffs again this season, especially with Connor Hellebyuck now wanting a trade out of Winnipeg. As the Jets try to navigate that situation this season, so far, they’ve still been able to compete well and have picked up wins over the Penguins and Red Wings leading up to tonight’s game.
Projected Lineup
Kyle Connor – Mark Scheifele – Cole Perfetti
Isak Rosen – Viggo Björck – Gabriel Vilardi
Morgan Barron – Adam Lowry – Brad Lambert
Cole Koepke – Vladislav Namestnikov – Alex Iafallo
Josh Morrissey – Dylan Demelo
Dylan Samberg – Neal Pionk
Mario Ferraro – Jack St. Ivany
Stuart Skinner
Clay Stevenson
