BYU Football’s third game of the season and first on the road is on Saturday evening against the Colorado State Rams.
The BYU Cougars are 2-0 on the season having first defeated Utah Tech on Sept. 5 and then the Arizona Wildcats last week. That game against Arizona was BYU’s first Big 12 Matchup and BYU came out victorious by a final score of 28-17.
Colorado State is a member of the Pac-12 Conference and have also started the season off with a 2-0 record. Colorado State’s first win came on Sept. 5
against Wyoming, and then last week against Southern Utah University. The Rams defeated the Thunderbirds by a final score of 58-24. Saturday marks the third consecutive home game for Colorado State.
BYU and Colorado State have played a lot previously, having been members of the same conferences on multiple occasions. Saturday will be the 70th all-time matchup between the Cougars and Rams, with BYU holding the 39-27-3 edge. BYU has won its last 7 games against the Rams, with the most recent coming back in 2010 in Fort Collins.
After Saturday, BYU has a bye and will play again on Oct. 3 against TCU.
