Barcelona have confirmed Gerard Martin is in the travelling squad for the midweek game against PSG in the Champions League.
Martin picked up a knock against Real Betis and is a doubt for the match but is heading to France with the rest of Hansi Flick’s side.
Jules Kounde and Eric Garcia are missing due to injury, meaning that Flick has also called up 18-year-old Alex Campos for the match at Parc des Princes.
Joao Cancelo, Xavi Espart, Alejandro Balde and Pau Cubarsi are the other defenders named in
the squad for what promises to be a big test against the Champions League holders.
The hope is that Martin will be fit to take on Luis Enrique’s side, although it’s possible Flick could also turn to Rodri or Frenkie de Jong in central defence if needed.
Barcelona are at the beginning of a key week in the 2026-27 season as they take on Real Madrid in El Clasico on Sunday, knowing a victory over their rivals will see them move nine points clear of Los Blancos.
